Commercial transparency
Revenue never changes the math.
How MakerGauge will label advertising, affiliate links, sponsors, and other commercial relationships.
Last updated: July 12, 2026
MakerGauge may earn revenue from display advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, and paid products. Commercial support does not change calculator formulas, source selection, or the price a tool recommends.
Affiliate links
If MakerGauge earns a commission when a reader purchases through a link, the relationship will be disclosed clearly near the affected recommendation—not hidden only on this page. The reader's price should not increase because of an affiliate link unless the merchant states otherwise.
Display advertising
Ads will be visually distinguishable from editorial content and calculator controls. We will not ask readers to click ads, place ads where they can be mistaken for buttons, or let advertisers alter calculation results.
Sponsored content
Sponsored work will be labeled at the beginning of the page. A sponsor may define the factual subject, but cannot purchase a conclusion, undisclosed ranking, or false claim. Material limitations and competing options remain eligible for discussion.
Product selection
Recommendations should solve a real maker workflow, have a clear selection method, and explain who should not buy the product. Availability of a commission is not sufficient reason to recommend an item.
